NAVAC, the world’s largest supplier of HVAC vacuum pumps and a wide range of tools, has recently unveiled the HVACR industry’s first power tubing bender. This innovative addition to NAVAC’s BreakFree® series of cordless tools, the NTB7L Power Tubing Bender, aims to simplify and expedite the typically time-consuming task of bending tubing in the HVAC field.
HVAC service technicians often encounter difficulties and inefficiencies when bending large-diameter tubing, which requires significant attention and precision. Removing the bent tube from a conventional bender mandrel can be particularly frustrating. NAVAC’s power tubing bender offers an accurate and time-saving solution to this laborious process.
The NTB7L Power Tubing Bender is designed to accommodate seven different tubing sizes, with outside diameters (OD) ranging from ¼” to 7/8″. It enables easy bending of soft ACR copper tubing to any desired angle up to 90 degrees using a single press/release control switch. Moreover, the tool allows for quick changes in OD size within seconds. After completing a bend, the unit’s baffle automatically ejects the tubing, while the tool resets itself, eliminating the common end-of-bend challenges associated with manual applications.
Despite its lightweight design (only 6.2 pounds, including the battery), the NTB7L Power Tubing Bender features a large-capacity lithium battery that can power over 100 bends on a single charge. Additionally, the battery can be fully recharged in just 30 minutes. NAVAC also offers the NTBRK Reverse Bending Kit as a separate accessory.
