In a significant move towards bolstering its HVAC product offerings in India, Carrier Global Corporation has announced the expansion of its locally manufactured range. The latest additions include a diverse array of air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs), meticulously crafted to cater to the specific needs of India’s commercial buildings.

The expansion marks a noteworthy milestone in Carrier’s more than five-decade-long manufacturing presence in India, showcasing a commitment to growth and progress under the ‘Make in India’ initiative with a substantial 10-year outlook. This strategic move not only enhances the accessibility of Carrier’s HVAC products but also strengthens the service network, offering increased support across various channels.

From its initial product lineup comprising air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, packaged light commercial units, and cassette and hi-wall split-system air conditioners, Carrier’s foray into FCUs and AHUs reflects a dedication to providing comprehensive solutions for healthy indoor environments with high-efficiency air filtering needs.

The newly introduced AHUs and FCUs are positioned as optimal solutions for applications in diverse sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and hospitality. Moreover, these airside units find application in crucial infrastructure projects, including railways and airports.

Noteworthy features of Carrier’s AHUs include a patented casing design, ensuring exceptional structural integrity that improves heat transfer using fewer parts. The direct-driven plug fans and minimal maintenance requirements underscore Carrier’s commitment to aiding customers in achieving their energy efficiency and sustainability goals. Importantly, Carrier’s AHUs boast certification from Eurovent, a global leader in third-party product performance certification in the HVACR fields, affirming industry-leading performance.

Dhiraj Wadhwa, Director of Applied Sales and Overseas Markets, Carrier, expressed, “We have long been experts in designing and manufacturing chillers. The addition of AHUs and FCUs airside units to our portfolio underscores our commitment to comprehensive and sustainable lifecycle HVAC solutions. We take pride in being a longstanding, trusted, and sustainable partner that delivers customer-centric solutions in the HVAC industry.”

Carrier’s latest expansion not only reflects its commitment to technological innovation but also positions the company as a reliable and forward-thinking player in India’s HVAC market, contributing to the nation’s pursuit of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
