Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd, Japan, has officially launched its cutting-edge integrated air-conditioning and compressor manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. In a momentous event attended by key dignitaries, including Masanori Togawa, President & CEO of Daikin Industries Ltd, and K J Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin India, the facility was inaugurated, highlighting Daikin’s commitment to technological innovation, sustainable practices, and regional development.
This strategic move reinforces Daikin’s dedication to advancing manufacturing capabilities and meeting the growing market demands. The facility, inaugurated ahead of schedule, is expected to significantly boost Daikin’s production capacity, solidifying its position as a leader in energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions in the region.
K J Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin India, expressed the significance of the new manufacturing plant, stating that it will enhance production capabilities and contribute to Daikin’s continued success in India. He emphasized the pivotal role of the facility in fostering long-term partnerships and supporting the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for domestic manufacturing of air conditioners.
